Why Sean Chose Us
Sean McDowell has spent his career making the case for the reliability of the New Testament. In this short film he shares why he partnered with Manuscript Shop — and why holding a true-scale replica of the earliest copies makes the evidence real.
The Sean McDowell Collection
Three manuscripts, chosen with Sean McDowell — the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15), the cross (Mark), and the Word made flesh (John 1). All three now available.
The Sean McDowell Collection

Built to teach, made to last
Sean McDowell is a professor, author, and speaker who has spent his career making the case for the reliability of the New Testament clear and accessible.
Together we built this collection around the early manuscripts Sean returns to most — the ones that help make the case for the resurrection, the deity of Jesus, and the reliability of Scripture. Each is reproduced at true scale on authentic papyrus and paired with a lesson, so you can hold the evidence and read it for yourself.

"Evidence That Demands a Verdict"
When people think of the evidence for the Christian faith, one book comes to mind. Josh McDowell first wrote Evidence That Demands a Verdict in 1972 — and in 2017, Sean joined his father to fully revise and expand it for a new generation.
It's the groundwork behind this collection: the same conviction that the evidence can speak for itself — now something you can hold in your hands.

Where to hear about it
Talks, interviews, and conversations from Sean McDowell.
"The New Testament's manuscript record dwarfs every other work from the ancient world. Where most classical texts survive in a few dozen or a few hundred copies, more than 5,600 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament have been catalogued, with thousands more preserved in Latin and other early languages."
